Full Study Title:
Gynaecological RAdiotherapy Consent Enhancement
Research Summary:
The GRACE study is exploring how we can improve the consent process for women receiving radiotherapy to treat a gynaecological cancer.
The goal is to make sure women feel fully supported and wellâinformed when deciding about their treatment.
GRACE will include interviews with patients who have had radiotherapy with the aim of curing their cancer. In these conversations, researchers want to understand:
- How you felt when deciding to go ahead with radiotherapy
- What the treatment experience was like for you, including any side effects
- What information helped you make your decisions, and whether anything was missing that could have made the process clearer or easier
By learning directly from women who have been through this treatment, the study hopes to:
- Improve the way information about radiotherapy is explained
- Strengthen the support women receive when making treatment decisions
- Develop better, more patientâcentred approaches to the consent process
In simple terms: GRACE is about listening to womenâs experiences so we can make the consent process clearer, kinder, and more helpful for future patients.
