Disease Registry on Patients with Advanced Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) Harboring METex14 Skipping Alterations / MOMENT ((Met nOn sMall cEll caNcer regisTry))
Research Summary:
When diagnosed with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), your doctor might test your tumour for certain genetic changes. One of these changes is called MET exon 14 skipping. It is rare, but if your cancer has this change, there are special medicines that can target it.

The MOMENT study is designed to learn more about how people with this MET change are treated in everyday life, not just in clinical trials. Clinical trials are very controlled, but real life is different. Doctors want to understand what treatments patients actually receive, how well they work, and what side effects occur when care happens in routine practice.

If you join MOMENT, you don't get extra drugs or experimental treatments. You keep following the plan your doctor recommends. The study team simply collects information from your medical records and, sometimes, asks you for updates during your regular visits. They may also use blood samples or test results that are already part of your care.

Over time, they track things like:
  • Which medicines you take and in what order
  • How your cancer responds
  • Any side effects you experience
  • How long you live and how you feel during treatment

This information helps researchers answer important questions:
  • Which treatments work best for people with MET changes?
  • How can side effects be managed better?
  • How can future patients get the most effective care?

By taking part, you are helping build a clearer picture of what works in the real world for this rare type of lung cancer. That knowledge could improve care for thousands of people in the future.
